VAN MORRISON CONCERT

On Friday, Sept. 25 we saw Van Morrison LIVE in Las Vegas! My mother-in-law and Dave Bisson came with us. We drove down to St. George Friday afternoon, dropped off our stuff with Grandma and Grandpa Bickmore, and then continued our journey to the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas to see Van the Man. It was amazing! I've always enjoyed listening to Van Morrison, but after the concert I've come to realize what an incredible musician and songwriter he is. The band members were incredible too and Van gave them plenty of solos for us audience members to enjoy. The setlist went as follows:

My favorite was "And the Healing Has Begun." I left wishing I could bring Van and the band home to my living room.
Will stayed behind with Aunt Sophie. It was not nearly as bad as i thought it would be leaving Will for that long (30 hours). Plus it helps knowing your child is in the best hands. When we picked up Will and went home he kept saying "Mom. Dad." It was sweet.

I couldn'y beleive my eyes when google reader told me you had 7 posts that I haven't read yet. You did quite a lot today. SO many great stories. I am glad you had fun at Van Morrison. I noticed that "Brown eye girl" was missing from your set list, I am sure he played that song!

Thanks for posting the play list. The first thing I did at work was make a itunes play list of those songs in that order. I have everyone of those in a live recording. That means I can at least pretend I was there.

By the way, he almost never plays Brown Eyed Girl. He claims it is too commercial and not one of his best songs.

It was amazing. I am so glad I got to see him at least once in my life. Somehow, that music is even more meaningful to me these days. It was great to get to enjoy it with you!

Hi family! It's been a while since I've done the Bickmore Buzz!! Here's the recap of the last five months!! JUNE: The Leasure's came to visit! It was so much fun! We took some weekend trips to St. Louis and Springfield. We saw the arch in St. Louis and visited the City Museum. In Springfield we did a driving tour of the caverns. Back in Warrensburg we did lots of e-bike rides, lightning bug catching, Minecraft crafting, talent show performing, and runs to Sonic. Sophie came house hunting with us in Kansas City and we found the perfect home. It's just five miles from work! When it was time for the Leasure's to return to Utah we all cried our eyes out.  Springfield Caverns I took a weekend trip to Utah to see my family. William Steven Bickmore

Lesley checked into the hospital and she was already dilated to a 5. William Steven Bickmore was born at 1:55 at 5'5"and 19" long. He is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Lesley is a champ she only got the "test dose" of the epidural and she was already at a 9. He has a low blood sugar problem so they have him in the NICU now and they are going to bring his blood sugar up. He is healthy and strong but he is a tiny little super guy. We love him and here is a video of his very first test. I tell ya they are starting to test kids younger and younger.

Dear Lesley, I wish I could accurately describe how in-awe-of you I am. Watching you give birth to Van was an amazing experience for me. In Spanish when a woman gives birth they say she gives light or que ella “da luz”. I think that is a more accurate way to describe what went on and a more beautiful way to describe you and your relationship to my life and to those around you.
