The Nitty Gritty

We miss our Utah family so much! Will was beside himself when he had to say goodbye at Mitch's wedding. It's hard for Will and Van to make friends here in Tempe. There's not a lot of time left in the day to play with friends when you get home each day between 4:30 and 5:00. I really hope when we move again, that we can be in a well established neighborhood with plenty of families and kids to hang with. I've heard many times since our trip to Utah this summer, "I wanna go back to Utah!" Garrett is not a biological cousin, but these two have been playing together since babies so we consider the Lewis's our family! Typical boys making fart noises with their armpits.  Just like old times. We took the kids to the Edutainment Center at the West Valley Fitness Center. Gwen and Van got to ride with us! I love that girl! Deacon accompanied us to Uncle Terry's customer appreciation night. There were bounce house obstacle courses, ice ...

We had two weddings this summer! Diane and Jay's and Mitch and Supriya's. I'm so happy for these couples. We haven't had a wedding in the family in a long time so it was nice to get together to show our love and support and celebrate these joyous occasions. At Diane's wedding, Van was cracking me up. He asked one of Jay's nieces to dance with him. At the end of the song, she was trying to let go of his hands and he tightened his grip. I had to intervene. Van said, "I just wanted to dance with her mom!" It was pretty cute. At Mitch's wedding, Isaac and his mom sang some beautiful numbers. William was asked to carry the ring to Mitch. He felt super nervous about it and when he finished his important job, he sat down and wiped his forehead in relief.
