The Nitty Gritty

Here are the pictures of everyone's first day of school (not me this time!): Mr. Bickmore. He'll become Dr. Bickmore when he defends his dissertation this semester. Woo hoo! Isaac feels very blessed to have this job. He is really loving it and is getting the hang of it. We went out to dinner with his colleagues Friday night. They are awesome people and I can see why Isaac loves working with them.  Van the man is in first grade this year! We found the shoes first and then he was searching for bright green shirts to match his shoelaces. Ha ha! I love walking with Van to school everyday. I've been able to get to know the other moms that walk their kids too.  His school's theme is all about Legos. His teacher passes out "lego bucks" for good behavior. The Bickmore Buzz is back in business! As you can see from the previous post, we had an amazing summer, including our big move from Tempe, Arizona to Warrensburg, Missouri. My mom drove with us and was a HUGE help. She stayed for a week and flew back to Utah. I was really dreading the 17 hour drive, but it turned out to be a very pleasant trip. We broke it up into two days. The first day we drove 10 hours to Nebraska and stayed overnight in Motel 6. The next day we finished up and drove 7 hours to Warrensburg. When we first arrived I was so overwhelmed with the house. When the water was turned on a few weeks before we moved, there was a leak in the water main. When the guys came to lay down some new flooring they noticed the ceiling in the corner of the garage was falling down so they tore out the dry wall and aired out the insulation. So the garage looked crazy. Then the kitchen was all dusty from the new floor and I tried so hard to fight back the tears. I wanted to be excited...

Summer of 2017 has been the BEST! The other night, we went around as a family and said the fun things we got to do this summer: DISNEYLAND/CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE with the Leasure's and Grandpa Steve/Grandma Dana Seeing TONS of family we don't get to see every year: Alex, Jason and Nixon, Aunt Betty, Uncle Bob, Aunt Gloria, Aunt Sally, Aunt Caroline, Aunt Kelly, Cousin Kemp, Uncle Reid's family, our Bickmore aunts and uncles and cousins!!!  We slept at lots of houses: Grandpa Steve's, Great Grandparents Bickmore, Grandma Garrett, Grandma Lisa, Aunt Lana, Aunt Sophie, Trish, Uncle Kent's, The Orme Cabin, and Jeff's mansion  Sold our condo and bought a new house in Missouri! Saw Cars 3, Spiderman Homecoming, and Despicable Me 3 in the movie theater.
