The Nitty Gritty

 Hi Everyone!  Here's what's going on with our family-- Isaac is a rock star and replaced the alternator in our Honda Odyssey. He watched YouTube videos--many of which were unhelpful. LOL. Our next door neighbor, James, helped him and lended some tools. Jake drove Isaac back and forth to the car parts store. Thank goodness for helpful friends and neighbors! And three cheers for Isaac for fixing the car!  Isaac is teaching online this semester. He set up an office space in our guest bedroom.  We walked the trail around Pertle Springs. Lots of cobwebs, but we saw three deer up close! Will is mowing the lawn! He has been so helpful this week. I was excited last night when I told the boys to clean up dinner. We had three weeks of FUN with the Leasure's! We didn't tell the boys they were coming. We wanted it to be a surprise and we didn't want to get their hopes up in case the trip had to be cancelled last minute due to COVID-19. So the day they arrived, Will answered the door and stood in shock. Sophie joked, "We're just stopping for a couple of hours because we're on our way to see Aunt Abbey." I told Van downstairs,  "Let's see who's at the door!" We ran up together and when we saw them we screamed and jumped up and down. Van gave Deacon a huge hug. It was so cute. Once William learned they were here to stay, he was excited, but still bewildered by it all. Best surprise ever! Even with the coronavirus, we found we could still do a lot of things together. We swam in our neighbor's pool, went walking on the trails, drove to Walt Disney's hometown, Marceline, went to Powell Gardens and saw the butterfly exhibit, did black berry picking...
