27 weeks with William 27 weeks with baby boy #2 Here I am at good ol 27 weeks! This baby is definitely bigger compared to William and much more active. Just when I settle in for a good sleep at night baby #2 likes to party. I'm kind of dreading the next 3 months because my belly is going to stretch even more and my sciatic nerve is acting up more in this pregnancy. I have felt pregnant this week feeling stiff and kind of decrepit. Yet that's what the third trimester is all about--getting to the point where you'd do anything to bring that baby here! We went to the Real Salt Lake game last week and this girl approached me with the best comment ever. She said "I just want you to know you have the cutest pregnant belly." It made my week. Dear Son, We're excited to have you join us in less than three months! William is excited to have a baby brother and mom and dad can't wait to cuddle a newborn again. Love, Your Family

I haven't been to Minnesota in over 15 years to visit my mom's side of the family. William and I went with my mom and spent 10 glorious days. I had such a lovely time spending time with my cousins and aunts and, as my sister Kelly put it, "seeing where my mannerisms come from!" Even though I've only met most of these family members three times in my life, I felt right at home. I now know why my mom discourages us kids from moving far away from family. I was sad on the last Sunday night we were there when we had a huge family get together thinking that something like this would happen on a regular basis if only we lived closer! My mom has a wonderful family and I hope to stay in close contact with them. They're all so generous and happy like my mom. This is the oldest Methodist church in Minnesota where my great-great grandfather was a preacher. This is where my mom had her first job--a coffee shop just across from the Mayo Clinic. Lately Thomas the Train has been the latest obsession. No more Elmo for Will. It's now "Thomas" or "Light Queen" (Lightning McQueen). A few months ago I checked out a Thomas the Train DVD at the library to see how he'd like it and ever since then that's what he searches for at the library. He also says "Sodor" (Island of Sodor) "Emily" "Gordon" and "Percy." When he sees Thomas he says "Choo choo!" and sounds just like a German because he can't make the "ch" sound yet. When I found out Thomas the Train was coming to Heber Valley I ordered tickets. I was a bit skeptical at first, but my friend told me she took her little boy and he loved it. I don't know who was more excited when we got there--me or Will. I felt like a giddy kid when I announced we were going to the Island of Sodor. It really did seem like we were going to Sodor because of the lakes and rivers and all the green fields alo...

William and I spent 10 days in Minnesota to see my mom's side of the family. When we were packing for the trip I gave him a special backpack to use for his carry on. He called it "pack pack". I found him dancing in our bedroom in front of the mirror when he was trying it out and it was so stinkin cute I grabbed the video camera.
