The Nitty Gritty

Hellllooo! We're a day late with the Bickmore Buzz, but better late than never! Isaac leaves tomorrow morning for Missouri. He'll be interviewing all day Wednesday. He has to teach a class, interview with the dean, eat lunch and dinner with the search committee, meet with the students, do a research presentation, and meet with Human Resources. Thursday, he'll be touring Warrensburg with a real estate agent and then arriving back in Phoenix around 4:00 pm. I have parent teacher conferences all three days he'll be gone. Thank goodness for helpful friends to tend the kids.  This past week, Isaac's been able to practice his presentations. Everyone that watched gave him very positive feedback so we know he's going to be outstanding! Yesterday our home teachers gave him a blessing. Today, he's felt less nervous. Hello! We hope everyone is doing well. The weather has been amazing this month. Yesterday and today have been rainy days, but we always welcome the rain since it seldom happens.  We enjoyed Valentine's Day this week. The boys and I went to Dollar Tree and bought some candy and cards to assemble for their teachers and classmates. William chose to make each one of his classmates their own Valentine. We cut up squares of paper and then he drew an activity on each one. Some of them had a maze, some had hidden pictures, some had fill in the missing letters to complete the word, etc. Then he made sure to find a candy to pass out that wasn't chocolate so the girl with the dairy allergy could have one. What a guy! When we counted all the teachers and staff members that work with the boys, it totaled 13!! We made little treat bags and tied a printable "You're Sweet" to each one for the teachers. I feel so blessed to work in a school that has so many caring adult...

Hi Family! We had a fun weekend to end a long week. Friday night was the school sock hop. We had so much fun dancing the night away. My principal said that I'm the fun mom that everyone wishes they had. Boy, that sure made me feel good! Will and Van had a blast too. At one point, Will slid on his knees and ended with The Dab (the latest popular dance move). At the very end of the night, I was looking around for Van and spotted him on the stage standing front and center with the toy microphone ready to perform for everyone. Our kids are just so dang shy!😉 Saturday morning, the boys and I helped with the Scouting for Food drive. Then we came back and went on a bike ride. After our bike ride we played video games and I finally made a level in Mario Maker. When Isaac came home, we ran some errands and after dinner had another dance party with just the four of us in our house. The Trolls soundtrack is what we blasted and danced to.
