Tomorrow is Christmas! We woke up this morning to SNOW. The boys, particularly William, were beside themselves. Will has been really wanting it to snow here so it felt magical when we saw our first snow on Christmas Eve.
We went to church for just Sacrament meeting today. The boys sang with the primary children and Isaac and I sang in the ward choir. After church we played games, played in the snow (just the boys), baked goodies, and Isaac baked baguettes. We delivered goodies to friends and were able to visit with some of them. Then we came back home and ate soup with Isaac's bread, baked chocolate chip cookies for Santa and sang "All the Friendly Beasts" by Sufjan Stevens. We finished the night reading Luke Chapter 2 and now the boys are trying to falling asleep as I'm typing this.
I was able to help with the holiday parties for Will and Van's classes. Van's class had their party first thing in the morning. The kids were so calm because they didn't have the anticipation of the party all day. GENIUS. For Will's party, I planned stations again--origami Christmas tree, 3D Christmas pop up card, and minute to win it games. Isaac ran the origami station. The kids had fun. They are super pumped about having no school for two weeks!
Yesterday we got a FREE bunk bed! We went on Thursday to Kansas to Ikea, but the bed we wanted was out of stock! Ugh! We found a few other things so the trip didn't feel completely wasted. Then we stopped in downtown Kansas City to look at the lights and walk around the mall. Anyway, back to the bed. On Friday, we were telling our neighbor about our new dog and how we want to get a bunk bed to make space for the dog in the boys' room. She said she had a bunk bed that she wants to get rid of. Score! The problem was it has a full mattress frame on the bottom and we didn't have a full mattress. So we checked out some stores and found that it would cost more to purchase a full mattress than to buy the bed at IKEA so Isaac decided he would drive back to Ikea the next morning to buy the bed. I hopped on google to see if there were any other mattress stores in Warrensburg. We found a locally owned one and the owner said he had a mattress that we could have for free! It was a used mattress that someone brought to buy another one. We checked it out and it looked just fine so we tied it to our car and brought it home. We set up the bed and it looks so good! It creates a lot of space in their room. I can't wait to show pictures of the finished product!
We are leaving for Utah the day after Christmas!! We can't wait! We're looking forward to playing all day tomorrow in our jammies with our new toys and of course packing up for Utah.

Van came up to me today and asked me if I would pull out his wiggly tooth so the tooth fairy AND Santa could visit him in one night. It took two twists and popped out! Then he said, "What if Santa and the tooth fairy kiss? Santa will have to duck WAY down!"
Overheard at our house:
William is into percentages lately. The other day he asked, "What percentage of people in the world believe in Jesus Christ?" and "Van is annoying 100 percent of the time." Isaac said, "No, he's not." William replied, "Okay, maybe eighty three percent of the time."
