Outings are Fun
The thing I LOVE about healthy kids is we can get the heck out of town and have some fun. In February I renewed my pass to the aquarium and we have been back twice. Will loves the bullfrogs and the crocodiles. He also loves to crawl in and out of the caves in the Coral Reef Community.
Isaac had a four day weekend in February so we spent one morning at the Dinosaur Museum (aka Museum of Ancient Life). There are tons of hands on exhibits, lots of dinosaur bones, and a scary T-Rex 3D IMAX movie. Will was in heaven and has asked to go back everyday since. He has also been roaring up a storm and wants me to read Curious George at the Dinosaur Discovery Museum before his naps.

When it's cold or snowy out we like to go to the local Arctic Circle and play on the play land. We don't leave without getting some fries for Will!
On Dr. Seuss's birthday, we went to the library, read books, checked out our maximum limit of books, and ate green eggs and a ham sandwich for lunch. Yummy! We returned to the library the next day for story time. The librarian did some fun Dr. Seuss things like sang the song on her guitar "Mr. Brown Can Moo, Mr. Brown Can Moo, and he can sound just like a _______, can you do it too?" Did the Dr. Seuss hokey-pokey with red and blue fish-- "You put your red fish in you put your red fish out you put your red fish in and you swim it all about. You do the Dr. Seuss-y and you turn yourself around. That's what it's all about!" Adorable! Will made it a point to stand up during one of the stories and roar like a dinosaur. Funny!
Yesterday Aunt Abbey took Will to the zoo with his cousin Deacon. She came to pick him up just as he woke up from his nap so when I announced that he was going to the zoo to see the animals his eyes lit up and he raced out of the room! He came home with these darling elephants. Aunt Abbey rocks!
I'm excited I've been going on more outings with my kids since that was one of my 2011 goals. It's a nice way to break up the week and just have FUN together.
