Powell Gardens held a "Members Only Preview Night" of their Festival of Lights. It was beautiful! We also got to bring home a poinsettia plant--free with our membership card!

Isaac is ready for the semester to be done! He's been a champ keeping the boys on track with their virtual school while also teaching his own classes online. Oi!

Back in May, we made an agreement with the Sentgeorge family that they would be our connecting family--the family we would get together with during the pandemic. It's been a lifesaver having a home to visit and friends to spend time with.

I've enjoyed having more time with these two the past six months! We've gone on walks, paddled in our canoes, watched movies, and had plenty of talks.

Isaac's Grandpa Orme passed away last week. It's been so sweet watching his Grandma and Grandpa take care of each other the last four years. They're such good examples of loyalty and love. I'll always treasure the family reunion in Midway when we celebrated their anniversary, took family photos, shared memories and honored them through letters, videos, songs, etc.
They are an inspiration to us! We will greatly miss Grandpa, but we know that his influence will forever live with us here on earth.

Van told me the other night how much he likes doing school with me and spending time with me. :) It took us an entire first quarter to get down a good system with school, but second quarter is going so smoothly. We opted to keep the boys in virtual school until the end of the year. 😩
But we can do it! We got this! Right?!
Overheard at our house: - Van: "Why are swear words bad?" Isaac took the time to explain the etymology of the words and they came to the conclusion that there's no explanation other than society decided that they are swear words.
- Van: "I feel like we're always asking Dad to do stuff for us."
- Van: "I asked Miss Aerin if Maxwell still believes in Santa because I don't want to ruin it for him and accidentally tell him the truth."
- Will loves to repeat what we say only with "You" or "You're" at the beginning. For example, someone says, "William will you unload the dishwasher?" "YOU unload the dishwasher." Or "William, get in the car"--"YOU get in the car." "William, you're the best." "YOU'RE the best."
Also, THIS. 👇We are so excited to FINALLY have a woman vice president. IT'S ABOUT TIME! Van, particularly has said several times, "Mom! I can't believe we finally have a girl for vice president!" Woo hoo!
