| Mr. Bickmore. He'll become Dr. Bickmore when he defends his dissertation this semester. Woo hoo! Isaac feels very blessed to have this job. He is really loving it and is getting the hang of it. We went out to dinner with his colleagues Friday night. They are awesome people and I can see why Isaac loves working with them. |

| Van the man is in first grade this year! We found the shoes first and then he was searching for bright green shirts to match his shoelaces. Ha ha! I love walking with Van to school everyday. I've been able to get to know the other moms that walk their kids too. |

| His school's theme is all about Legos. His teacher passes out "lego bucks" for good behavior. Van's favorite special is music class. He likes walking home with Colton. |

| William is in 3rd grade this year! His school is 3rd-5th grade. I like the break up of the grades. The upper elementary school can gear their school activities towards older kids. He's made some friends--Colin, Quentin, and Max. He liked getting to know his cub scout troop on Wednesday night. He was all sweaty from running around with them in the gym. |

| My solar eclipse glasses! I've made lots of friends here in Warrensburg. Everyday this week was spent doing something with a friend and it felt great! I'm working on getting things set up around here. I'm enjoying beginning my days with a workout. Thanks Jessica Smith! Her YouTube workouts have been the perfect fit for me. |

| The moon is actually in front of the sun in this picture. That night we had the worst thunderstorm. The boys ran into our beds. The lightning must have struck close to our house because there was a huge crack of thunder that shook the walls. William and I wrapped our arms around each other because it even scared me! Our neighbor told me the next day that he has never heard thunder so loud here before. |

| We saw this mama deer and her fawn the other day at the intersection. We also saw a turtle crossing the road and thankfully didn't run it over. Crazy! |

| Mrs. Holmes set up a photo booth at Meet the Teacher Night. Van put his super hero cape that Lana made him in his All About Me bag that he had to share with his class. His teacher called him, "Super Van" all day. She's allowed him to wear it most days since then to school. The other kids have started calling him Super Van. |

| Yesterday we went to Lia's birthday party, a student in Van's class. There were tons of kids there and the boys had a blast. My friend, Ludiven (Ludy) was there. She's from France and has lived here for 14 years. We had fun visiting together. William and her son, Colin, really get along. Neither of them like kickball and they both love Terraria. |

The boys ate vanilla Emoji cupcakes. I was cracking up at the black frosting all over their mouths.
Things are going really well for us! We're so happy to have found such a great town to live in!
Overheard at our house:
Van has been extra dramatic lately. For instance, tonight when we tucked them into bed he asked for a cup of water. When we didn't respond right away, he cried, "Do you want your son to die? I need some water!"
